What's your favorite Easter song?
I just caught a glimpse of the worship songs for this Sunday at my church and I've got to admit, I'm a little disappointed. It got me thinking about music on Easter Sunday. Do you have a favorite Easter song(s)? What song(s) are a "must sing" on Easter for you?
As of right now, in no particular order, here's my top ten list:
1) Alive Forever Amen (Travis Cottrell)--one of my new favorites.
2) My Redeemer Lives (Reuben Morgan)
3) The Old Rugged Cross (traditional hymn)
4) God So Loved the World (Hillsongs)
5) That Wonderful Cross (Chris Tomlin)
6) Because He lives (Bill Gaither)
7) Above All (LeBlanc)
8) At the Cross (Isaac Watts/traditional hymn)
9) On My Cross (FFH)
10) Jesus is Alive (Ron Kenoly)

Definitely "In Christ Alone". I think that's my favorite song for all occasions.
Travis' version of "In Christ Alone!" Gives me chills every time!!!

The one I've enjoyed at Easter the past few years has been "River of Glory" by Dan Schutte. In fact, just yesterday, I was thinking about my church having a new music director and hoping, hoping, hoping that he decides to include this song that is such a meaningful part of my Easter celebration.
This is our first time singing an Easter Cantata and the songs in that are absolutely awesome. One, particularly is "Then Came the Morning"...I love it!
Some of yours, too are on my list. Another one which could be sung at Easter is "He Lives"...love it!
This Must Be a Cross of Love is one of my very favorites.

it was funny to sing travis' "alive forever" this morning and then give him a hug after church! my boss goes to his church and i spent the weekend with them so i was blessed to be able to see them this easter weekend! :)
