My Shepherd My Savior?
Okay, here's a chance for you to put your two cents in. What do you think about taking "Jesus" out of the first line of "Shout to the LORD" and substituting it with the word, "Shepherd?" I'm anxious to read your thoughts.

I'm sure they tried not to offend anyone. Just the fact that a song that has such an anointing upon it was used in such a secular, very public venue is amazing. I loved it.
Personally, I loved it!! I thought it was just "so Jesus" to have that song playing, singing, impacting.....I wasn't so mad about the word change...He's just so much bigger than that. I just know hearts were changed. Just know it! :)

I thought that the song was great! To be able to air that song by young people on a national TV station was awesome! They were shouting to the Lord!!! I prefer Jesus in the words, but if I had never heard the song, I may be so inspired to buy it and....... :) It's all good! Slk
I would have preferred "Jesus" but yet, He is our "Lord"..
But for it to be heard via TV is powerful in itself!
Since I missed the show, I'm glad you posted this so I could watch. I would have liked the name of Jesus left in, but His powerful Presence came through regardless.

hi cheryl, i'll be honest, i didn't watch it the first night and i missed the beginning of the song on day two and i didn't know about the word change until just now. i know you are saying, earth to janel! i steamed inside all the way through this video until the end of the song, dising Jesus like that. i hate the politically correct liberal media. i can be black and white and narrow, but i can listen and change. then, as i read others comments, i softened and changed my opinion. i absolutely prefer Jesus hands down, but fran hit the nail on the head, He is much bigger than that and probably did more than we know. it was good to hear they got it right on day two. yes! ~janel
